Welcome to the City of Ute! We are located in the west central part of Iowa in Monona County along the Soldier River. We are located 55 miles South of Sioux City 70 miles North of Omaha, NE. With the highways 183 and 141 meeting in Ute, it’s easy to reach the bigger cities, while still enjoying all that small-town life has to offer.  We have a population of 374 (2010 census).

May Council Meeting Date Change
Notice: There is a change of date for the regular City Council Meeting for the Month of May. May's meeting will be on Monday May 4, 2026 at 6pm. The normal schedule of regular meetings on the second Monday will resume in June.
