Ortner Scholarship Foundation
Established By Gary and Leah Ortner in remembrance of their children, Jamie Jo and Jason, who tragically passed away in 1997. The foundation is a non-profit that awards post-secondary education scholarships to graduating high school students of MVAOCOU. Scholarships were first awarded to the Charter Oak-Ute Class of 2006, which would have been Jamie’s graduating class. Recipients are based on how active the student was in Ortner Scholarship Foundation events, community service, academics, extra-curricular activities, and essays.
