Annual County Wide Tornado Siren Test

Be advised that Monona County will be participating in the Annual Tornado Exercise to be held on Wednesday March 29th 2023 starting at approximately 10:00 am. Since each individual siren will be sounding to test each one, it may take a while for all sirens to be activated. The test should be completed by 11:00 am. If we have severe weather on March 29th, the test will be postponed until March 30th. The county will be participating with the National Weather Service in this exercise.

During this exercise, Local Firefighters will be paged out as normal to call for weather spotters during this event. Sirens are activated in each town. Also, the Law Enforcement Center and the Monona Courthouse will participate in this exercise.
